Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary Raises More than $8,000 for American Heart Association
Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School recently completed their Jump Rope for Heart fundraising efforts, collecting a total of $8,700 to benefit the American Heart Association.
The funds were given to the Heart Association through America’s Greatest Heart Run and Walk Team Nicholas and will be used, in part, for CPR training in the Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District.
2019 marked the fourth year that Team Nicholas participated in American’s Greatest Heart Run and Walk. Team Nicholas is named in memory of Nicholas Myers who passed away in 2015 from a congenital heart defect. Nicholas was the brother of a current Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary student.
On April 12, Principal Welch, PE teachers Mrs. Carinci and Mr. Giambrone, and members of Team Nicholas presented a check to the American Heart Association for the funds raised.
The Myers family is very grateful for the love and support shown to them from not only the teachers and staff at the school, but also the families and community of Frankfort-Schuyler!
