Fourth Annual Career Day for Junior Knights
On March 22, Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School hosted the fourth annual Career Day for the Junior Knights. The elementary school partnered with the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES School to Careers program to host this fun and educational event.
Students in grades pre-K-2 visited five stations in the gym. They were able to learn about jobs in several fields such as agriculture, healthcare, education and culinary arts. They also visited a station set up by the Frankfort Utility Department where they got to explore how electricity works.
Students in grades 3-5 were able to learn about nine different careers from the presenters. They learned about careers such as police officer, vet tech, photography, agriculture, cosmetology and more!
This event helps give our champions an opportunity to learn about different careers and paths they can take when they graduate. We are very grateful to all of the professionals and students who volunteered their time and knowledge to share with our students.
