F-S Middle School Students Participate in 25th Annual Drug Quiz Show
On March 20, seven Frankfort-Schuyler middle school students participated in the 25th annual Drug Quiz Show sponsored by the Herkimer County Prevention Council.
During the competition, students went up against six surrounding school districts. The Drug Quiz Show strives to increase substance abuse awareness within schools, homes, and the community. It provides middle school students with the opportunity to have fun while gaining the knowledge, skills, and self-confidence needed to make safe and healthy, real-life choices regarding the use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. The Frankfort-Schuyler students volunteered to be a part of the Drug Quiz Show team and added additional studying and practice time to their already full school workloads.
Students competed in four rounds. These included team answers, individual multiple-choice questions, individual true or false, and a buzzer round. This year, our Frankfort-Schuyler team placed third, earning a total of 64 points! The students won movie tickets, snacks, and drinks at the Marquee movie theater.
