Frankfort-Schuyler third graders participated in the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES Honors Program storytelling workshop on Nov. 6 at the Herkimer BOCES Gateway Center.

The event brought together third grade students from multiple districts for a day of collaborative learning and creative expression. Students worked in groups to practice storytelling techniques, shared their work and presented in front of their peers.

The workshop was led by storyteller Regi Carpenter, who guided students through strategies for building strong, memorable stories. Carpenter demonstrated how voice, repetition, gestures, facial expressions and body language can bring storytelling to life.

Throughout the day, students participated in activities that supported writing, teamwork, communication skills and confident storytelling.
