Parade of Champions Culminates with Passing of the Champ

The Frankfort-Schuyler Jr./Sr. High School Class of 2026 took a walk down memory lane during the annual Parade of Champions on June 16, celebrating their accomplishments while inspiring the next generation of Maroon Knights.

Dressed in their caps and gowns, the graduating seniors made their way through the halls of both the elementary and Jr./Sr. high school buildings, where they were greeted with cheers and well wishes from students, teachers and staff. The parade gave younger students the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the seniors, while offering the seniors a chance to reflect on their many years of hard work and the school community that helped shape their journey.

Following the parade, the seniors and kindergarten class gathered on the football field for the "Passing of the Champ.” During the special tradition, the seniors and kindergartners walked toward one another from opposite ends of the field before meeting in the middle. Each graduating senior presented a kindergartner with a plush of Champ, the District’s knight mascot.

The annual tradition represents the passing of the torch from one generation of Maroon Knights to the next as the Class of 2026 prepares to begin a new chapter beyond the Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Your legacy will continue to inspire the Maroon Knights who proudly follow in your footsteps.
