Mrs. Newtown Named April Jr./Sr. High School Staff Member of the Month

The Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District is pleased to recognize middle school math and STEAM teacher Kristina Newtown as Frankfort-Schuyler Jr./Sr. High School’s April Staff Member of the Month.

Mrs. Newtown brings energy, creativity and dedication to everything she does, making a lasting impact on her students and the school community. She consistently goes above and beyond to support her students, giving her time generously to ensure that each student feels supported, challenged and inspired to succeed. Whether she’s helping students grasp a difficult math concept or encouraging curiosity through hands-on STEAM learning, her commitment to helping her students succeed is evident in every interaction.

This school year, Mrs. Newtown stepped in to take over the middle school STEAM program, embracing the opportunity with enthusiasm and vision. She has also taken on leading the District’s driver’s education program, demonstrating her versatility and willingness to meet the District’s needs wherever they arise.

Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Newtown is a driving force behind many of the school’s mental health and social-emotional learning initiatives. She works tirelessly to support the wellbeing of students, helping to create a positive and inclusive school environment where all students can thrive. Mrs. Newtown also plays a key role in organizing the Senior Honor Banquet and awards each year, ensuring that students’ achievements are recognized and celebrated.

Through her dedication, leadership and genuine care for students, Mrs. Newtown exemplifies the very best of what it means to be an educator, and the Frankfort-Schuyler CSD is lucky to have her.
