Mock Crash Demonstrates Dangers of Impaired, Distracted Driving
Ahead of prom weekend, Frankfort-Schuyler Jr./Sr. High School students received an important reminder about staying safe behind the wheel.
On May 8, the Frankfort-Schuyler Student Council hosted a mock motor vehicle accident demonstration for students in grades 9-12. The demonstration was held in partnership with the Frankfort Fire Department and other local emergency responders, and it was designed to educate students about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. It also served as an opportunity for hands-on training for local EMS, fire and law enforcement personnel.
The demonstration aimed to leave a lasting impression on students as they prepared for prom and other end-of-year celebrations, reinforcing the importance of making safe and responsible decisions behind the wheel.
