Frankfort-Schuyler's run of Syracuse.com’s All-Central New York 8-Man Football Player of the Year honors continues!
Congratulations to Frankfort-Schuyler senior Jerome Bowen, who has been selected by The Post-Standard/Syracuse.com as the 2025 All-CNY 8-Man Football Player of the Year. Jerome received the prestigious honor on June 23 at the annual Syracuse.com All-CNY High School Sports Awards ceremony held at Liverpool High School.
Jerome was instrumental in leading the Maroon Knights to a remarkable 2025 season that included a League Championship, a berth in the Section III Championship Game and an outstanding 10-1 overall record. His record-setting performance included 1,949 rushing yards, 33 rushing touchdowns, 884 passing yards and 12 touchdown passes. On the defensive side of the ball, Jerome added 51 tackles, four quarterback sacks and six forced fumbles, demonstrating his impact in all phases of the game.
His exceptional season also earned him 2025 New York State Sportswriters Association (NYSSWA) Co-Player of the Year honors, recognizing him as one of the top football players in New York State.
Jerome's selection marks an extraordinary milestone for the Frankfort-Schuyler football program. With his recognition as the 2025 Syracuse.com All-CNY Player of the Year, the Maroon Knights have now produced three consecutive All-CNY Players of the Year, following Martino Rocco's selections in both 2023 and 2024.
This achievement is a testament not only to Jerome's hard work and dedication, but also to the continued excellence of the Frankfort-Schuyler football program, its coaches and student-athletes.
As Coach LaGase reflects on Jerome's season and high school athletic career, "Jerome's work ethic, leadership and commitment to excellence have made a tremendous impact on our football and athletic program.
