Frankfort-Schuyler Students Enhance Theater Skills at MVCC

Frankfort-Schuyler Jr./Sr. High School students visited Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) on Oct. 24 to participate in a theater class as part of the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES Honors Program workshop.

The on-campus workshop was organized by MVCC Dean of Art Todd Behrendt. Workshop participants joined MVCC theater instructor Tennille Knoop in an engaging day of theater activities. Sessions covered topics across literature, history, arts and sciences, with activities designed to engage students with different learning styles.

The program provided an opportunity for students to collaborate with like-minded peers and learn from presenters recognized in their fields. Students enhanced their skills in teamwork, voice, speech, memorization and playwriting.

The Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District extends its appreciation to the Herkimer BOCES Honors Program and MVCC for offering this valuable experience that supports student growth in the arts.
