The Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights varsity girls soccer team celebrated Senior Night in unforgettable fashion, powering to a commanding 7-0 victory over the Utica Academy of Science Atoms. The win extends the team’s perfect record to 8-0 on the season.
The atmosphere was electric as the Maroon Knights honored their dedicated seniors: Addyson Thibault (#9), Destiny Chhom (#2), Giavanna Kaleta (Captain) (#26), Isabella Paragi (#25), Madelyne Reid (#7) and Lillian Brownrigg (#29). The team rose to the occasion with one of their most complete performances of the season, a fitting tribute to a group of athletes who have given so much to the program.
The offense was balanced and dynamic, with multiple players contributing to the scoring effort. Leigh Ferguson and Maryna Harrod led the charge with two goals and an assist each. Kyleigh Sears, Sanita Selimovic and senior Isabella Paragi also found the back of the net. The inspired effort was further highlighted by Ella Drennen, who had two assists, while Sears and Cecilia Zennamo each added one.
With their undefeated streak on the line, Frankfort-Schuyler will look to keep its incredible run alive on September 26 as they travel to Herkimer for a pivotal CSC league matchup against the Magicians.
