Third through fifth grade students at Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School celebrated the holiday season by focusing on generosity, service and community.

Students are participating in a school-wide food collection benefiting the local food pantry and veterans, with donations accepted through Jan. 14. In addition, students are collecting mittens to decorate a giving tree, helping support those in need during the winter months.

As part of the celebration, students were joined by Kiwanis Club President Bill Evans for a holiday gathering that included hot cocoa and cookies. The event provided an opportunity for students to reflect on the importance of kindness and giving back.

Students also enjoyed watching holiday movies together, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere while reinforcing the school’s emphasis on compassion and community involvement.

The activities highlighted the school’s commitment to teaching students the value of helping others and making a positive impact beyond the classroom.
