Hello & welcome to 7th grade social studies! 

My name is Ms. Lawrence. I am so excited to help you learn more about our country's rich history, geography, and government traditions. 

About Ms. Lawrence

The 2022-23 school year is Ms. Lawrence's second year teaching in Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with minors in History and Spanish from Union College and a Master of Science in Adolescence Education with a concentration in Social Studies from Utica College. She has extensive experience in working with students in grades pre-k through college, but loves middle school the most! 

Aside from history and politics, Ms. Lawrence enjoys gardening, reading, playing board games, exercising, and cooking. She is a lover of all animals, but especially her two rescue dogs. 

About Social Studies 7

7th grade social studies focuses on the history, geography, and government of the United States, with an emphasis on early America. We will study indigenous American civilizations from before the arrival of European settlers through the American Civil War. We will also look at current events to connect what we learn in history to our lives today.
