• Dear Parents,
Once again, I am looking forward to working with your child this year. Following is information that you will find helpful throughout the school year. Each student will have one folder that will be sent home daily. This folder will be used to send notes, homework, completed schoolwork, and important information between home and school. Please send a note in if your child has a change in transportation or is out sick. Snack Each morning we will take a short “snack break,” therefore, you will need to send a snack with your child everyday. Some examples of popular, nutritious snacks include crackers, pretzels, dried cereal, yogurt, or cheese, also a drink, such as, fruit juice or water. Please send in all necessary utensils, such as a forks, spoons, napkins, etc.  Lunch Your child has the choice to bring in a lunch from home or buy lunch here at school. Please place money in a sealed envelope and write your child’s name, what they are buying and K-H on the outside of the envelope. Breakfast-$.75 Lunch- $2.50 Milk- $.50  Ice Cream/Snack- $.75 Recess We try to go outside (as long as the weather cooperates). Students are required to wear sneakers to play on the playground and to participate in P.E. class. Your child may leave an extra pair of sneakers in their cubby. Book Orders I will be sending home book orders throughout the school year. You are able to order online or send in order form with a check payable to Scholastic Book Clubs. They have great literature for really good prices. You are under no obligation to buy anything. Birthdays Birthdays will be celebrated during snack time. Please send in a note a few days prior to the celebration. All items must be store bought. Along with the treat, please send in any paper products needed for the party. Summer birthdays will be celebrated the last week of school. Students will not be allowed to pass out birthday party invitations unless, everyone in the class is invited. Please understand that we do not want any child to feel left out and their feelings hurt. Please make sure that your child’s name is on everything brought to school. I will send home notes and reminders as the year goes on concerning classroom activities and events. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school by phone (895-7491), email: shumphreys@frankfort-schuyler.org or send a note with your child.
    Sincerely, Ms. Susan Humphreys
