On Feb. 15, the Friends of Rachel Club at Frankfort-Schuyler Jr./Sr. High School hosted a Senior Prom for Herkimer County residents ages 60+.
This was an opportunity for seniors from local nursing homes, rehabilitation centers or just community members, to come together for a night of food, socializing and dancing.
Guests were dressed in their best and were adorned with a fresh floral corsage upon their arrival. The cafeteria was filled with a plethora of appetizer foods, desserts and drinks entirely donated by local businesses, and was a place for guests to eat and socialize. The tables were decorated with a tree centerpiece boasting handmade ornaments for guests to take with them as a keepsake.
The gymnasium was staged for dancing and professional photos, with music provided by Frankfort-Schuyler alumni Tino Laterza.
The success of the event could be seen on the smiling faces of all who attended this “knight” to remember.
