Where students discover the FACS of life!

The mission of Family and Consumer Sciences is to prepare individuals to be competent, confident and caring in managing their personal, family and career lives.  The Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum is a course designed to help young people in a society of constant change and to improve their quality of life by preparing them to meet their present and future responsibilities as family members, consumers, home managers and wage earners.

For FACS 7 &8 you will need a folder (2 pocket, 3 prong) a pen/pencil and loose leaf paper.  These supplies must be in class everyday and can be kept in our classroom bucket.

Grading Policy:

All students will be graded on their written assignments, class participation and assessments.  Each assignment/assessment will have different point values based on the length and difficulty. All work is expected to be in on time unless prior arrangements are made.  Your participation grade will count as 15% of your overall average for each quarter and will include participation during Life Skills.
