Grades are determined using a point system:

*Homework will count based on the quantity and quality of work and will be collected and graded as needed.

*Pop quizzes will be worth 50 points.

*Announced quizzes will be worth 100 points.

* Study Island Assignment average will be worth 100 points.

*Paragraph essays will be worth 100 points.

*Journals/ Composition (Quote of the day) Entries will be collected at the end of each marking period; this grade will be worth 300 points.

*Unit Tests will be worth 300 points.

*Projects will count 300 points.

*Research Paper will be worth 500 points.
