Procedures for School Drop-off, Pick-up & Visits

Please see the map above and know the procedures for dropping off students in the morning at RRES. Please be sure when you drop a student off in the "Drop-Off Zone," the child exits your vehicle on the sidewalk side (the right side of your vehicle).

After dropping your child off, please carefully move your vehicle to the exit to make room for other parents waiting to drop off students. (Note the one-way flow of traffic.)

Students are to be dropped off in the "Drop-Off Zone" only. Do not drop students off in the parking lot.  If you need to come into the building with your child:

1.   Please park your vehicle.

2.   Walk your child into the building and cross carefully at the crosswalk to the sidewalk.

 

3.   Enter our school through the front door. Children are encouraged to walk to class independently after the first two weeks of school.
  Please be sure that no vehicles enter the Bus Zone between 7:45 a.m.-8:15 a.m. and 2:00p.m.-2:20 p.m. during our a.m. & p.m. transportation operations.  •Please observe the new signs that have been posted as you enter the school driveway. (Enter, exit, & one way)  The Town Police have requested that:

1.   All vehicles stop for the flashing red lights on a school bus.  Please Know:  This is New York State Traffic Law.  Violators will be ticketed.

2.   There will be an increase of Frankfort Town Police Patrols at RRES during the morning hours.

3.   Please see the map at right for proper traffic procedures for dropping off students.

4.   You must comply with the one way signs and enter using the driveway closest to the playground and proceed left to the exit.

Students should not be on school grounds before 7:55a.m. Students must be supervised at all times. RRES supervision starts at 7:55a.m. Personnel are available to supervise starting at 7:55 a.m. and request that this procedure be followed for safety of students.  Parents need to sign students out at the Main Office when picking up their child during school hours and at the end of the day in the cafeteria. Parents need to obtain a "Visitor's Pass" when visiting our school for the safety of our children.  Parent-Pick Up procedures for K-5 students:

  1. Park in middle or furthest parking lot.
  2. Enter school through the main door and proceed to cafeteria.
  3. All children must be signed out in the white binder.
  4. Children will be released to individuals previously indicated on emergency form.
  5. You must send in a note to grant permission for your child to leave with someone not on the list.

Pre-K is now located in the former conference room. Pre-K parents should use the main entrance to drop off and pick up students. Please report to the table in the lobby to sign in and to obtain a pass. Please park in the designated area just past the cross walk.
